Guild TK-1577 "Teakettle" Novelty Radio (1957)
(wood tube novelty radio)

Guild TK-1577 "Teakettle" Novelty Radio (1957)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a favorite of collectors who like the high quality work of the L.A. company who made novelty radios in the 50's and 60's. Solid maple, solid brass and porcelain. This radio plays loud and clear; my guarantee applies. As the other ones I restored this year, I made special battery compartments and put two 4-AA cell packs into them with brand new NiMh rechargeable batteries. The power supply in the trivet has a new diode and caps. It will keep your batteries charged when plugged in. You can't find a better Mother's Day gift than this! About 17 pounds, two packages. The trivet is cast iron. 14"H on trivet (handle up) x 10"W x 8"D.
