From Steinite Labs in beautiful downtown Atchison, Kansas, comes this very collectible crystal set. With a 50 foot antenna and a good ground I got about four stations to come in. These headphones are dynamic but if you use crystal phones you can get even better reception. Also it depends on how far away the radio stations are. There aren't really any too close to me so I know the set performs. See a reprint of an article where this radio won an award from RADIO NEWS in 1926 in "Crystal Clear" volume I by Maurice Sievers, page 44. More details about this set are on page 91. The tag with the serial number is gone, but you can tell this is an early version because it has an open cat whisker. The later ones had a glass tube over it.
