Zenith 8-S-463 Console (1940)
(wood tube console radio w/SW)

Zenith 8-S-463 Console (1940)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a beautiful pre-war radio. It has been fully restored with all new capacitors, resistors where necessary and all tubes have been tested. The tuning eye is a NOS military 1629 type, the radio has been modified to take it. There is a mini stereo jack added for use with a Bluetooth receiver which is included! The original finish cabinet is in pristine shape including the faux burl grille bars. The dial pointer and all knobs and buttons are original white Plaskon. Also, I am including a tool and instructions so you can adjust the presets. There are six presets, I will be glad to set them up for you if you wish but you can always change them to your desired stations. There is only one little flaw that is the dial won't pick up 650KHz or below, But the presets can go all the way down to 550. I have KJR(650) on the first preset and it is loud and clear; From 710 on up, the dial is right on. It will pick up short wave, I tuned it with my signal generator, but you will need an outside antenna for that. The built-in wavemagnet works good for local stations. I'll ship it via Greyhound unless you have a shipper or you can pick it up in Tacoma. 42"H x 28"W x 15"D.
