Silvertone radios sold!

Silvertone 4764 (1937)
(wood tube table radio)

Silvertone 4764 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is an excellent radio that has been restored, and it works great! Sold under the Sears & Roebuck brand name of Silvertone as part of the Sears Golden Jubilee, which offered a series of radios with different sized gold dials and styles. A five tube receiver, it covers the broadcast band (550-1800 KC) and has short-wave band coverage (in two bands) up to 19 MC. All the capacitors have been replaced with new modern equivalents, weak tubes replaced, resistors replaced if needed, and it has been aligned so stations are where they should be on the dial. The cabinet was restored when I bought it and displays great, original knobs are correct. All controls work as they should with no binding and no scratching; the eye tube is very bright and works perfectly! The only flaw I see is a spot where a wet glass was placed on the top left and left a ring. The finish is so nice I cannot justify a refinish. Pictures of the chassis (including underside) and the perfect speaker available, just click on my name. 90 day warranty. Aux input (iPod, iPhone, CD Player, etc) can be added for $75. 17"W x 14"H x 9"D, 22 lbs.
