Zenith 715 "Challenger Line" (1934)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Zenith 715 "Challenger Line" (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This rare model was part of the Challenger Line for the 1934 Zenith model year, and is the largest table set in that line (awesome is a good description). Depicted in the 1992 "Crimson Legacy" painting by Daniel Moore (look it up). The cabinet was expertly restored with nitro-cellulose lacquer (as originally) and looks fantastic! There is elaborate scroll work on the front, beautiful wood trim, wonderful walnut and birds-eye maple veneers, original bezel and dial scale, a working shadow meter for fine tuning, etc. Chassis is very clean (pics available), grille cloth is new, speaker is perfect, knobs are original wood, new cloth covered power cord. It was completely restored electronically. Needs a wire antenna (supplied). An aux input cable has been added: play your favorite tunes or old time radio shows from CD player, iPod, etc. With the cable installed, a Bluetooth receiver with charger can be added for $25 (my cost) and you can stream tunes from your phone, laptop, etc. 90 day warranty applies. They don't get any nicer than this, so grab it while it is still available! It would be a super addition to any collection, especially a Zenith collection! 20"H x 15"W x 10"D, shipping weight 30 pounds.
