Detrola 146 (1937)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Detrola 146 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a fantastic looking and superb playing tabletop radio ready for you to proudly display and listen to. It was made by Detrola Corporation of Detroit Michigan, which also made radios for other companies, most notably the Truetone brand for Western Auto. A six-tube receiver, it covers the broadcast band (550-1650 KC) and has short-wave band coverage (in two bands) up to 16.5 MC. It works very well on all three bands using just a 10-foot wire antenna. The cabinet was restored using the finest lacquers, then hand rubbed to a beautiful smooth finish. The electronics are restored and original except for some tubes and all the replaced capacitors and some resistors under the chassis. The cabinet has no patches, has original dial, escutcheon, speaker (perfect cone), original knobs. The dial cover and grille cloth are reproduction. All the caps were replaced inside the original cap cases, so it looks original under the chassis. Aux input cable has been added: play your favorite tunes or old time radio shows from CD player, iPod, etc. A Bluetooth receiver can be added and you can stream your tunes from your phone, etc. 90 day warranty applies. 18"W x 11"H x9"D.
