Telex/Philco Unknown Model

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a pretty little wooden Telex radio that I renamed to a Philco. Telex has no information available on the internet. The tube setup is really unusual having two 35Z5 rectifiers, 50L6, 12SA7, two 12SQ7, 12SK7 and a ballast tube. The radio plays great and is very selective and sensitive; it has a working shortwave band. The look of the dial is what made me think it was made by Philco. This radio has had my usual total electronic restoration and refinished with 25+ coats of lacquer and hand polished. I made a new clear plastic dial cover and back cover for safety and appearance; I have also installed an RCA jack that can be used with an iPod or MP3 or other device. I have priced this radio for a quick sale. So if you want a pretty little radio measuring 14"W x 8"H x 7"D, then this is the radio for you. My estimate of the age is ca.1940. I have many photos of this radio before and after restoration, so if you would like more pictures, please, e-mail me.
