General Electric J-71 (1941)
(wood tube table radio)

General Electric J-71 (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Wow! This is a gorgeous GE radio! The wood case is spectacular, the grille cloth is excellent and the dial is crystal clear with sharp graphics. This is a seven-tube, Golden Tone radio with two shortwave bands and AM. Exceptional AM reception with the internal antenna. Shortwave is so-so, but for best reception you'll need an outside long wire antenna. The sound is room-filling with the large speaker and a tone control. This is a big unit and probably an expensive "top-of-the-line" model in 1941. Amazing to think how many times this radio has been moved around & is in such incredible condition. This is truly an outstanding radio you'll love to listen to and show. It's heavy at 22 pounds, so it won't easily fall off a table. It will be securely packed in a heavy shipping crate for safe transport. Restored electronically for reliable daily use. 22-1/4"W x 10-1/2"H x 9-1/2"D.
