Crosley 46TJ "Victory" (1945)
(wood tube table radio)

Crosley 46TJ "Victory" (1945)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a nicely restored Crosley "Victory" model. This is a coveted radio, made as WWII was drawing to a close, and it was evident the Allies were the victors. Although radio components were difficult to obtain on the commercial market, Crosley managed to obtain sufficient supplies to manufacture a quantity of these radios, in celebration of the pending Victory. This radio has been restored electronically, and also restored to beautiful appearance. The radio has new filter capacitors, and a host of the smaller capacitors replaced (those little trouble makers that were made of paper, foil and wax). Today's technology has given us far better design, even "self-healing" characteristics! Of course, all tubes tested and any weak or marginal tubes have been replaced. It's a lovely collectible, in great condition. Features AM and SW, both work well. Designed with its own built-in antenna, but of course it works best with an additional wire antenna. I am always happy to answer questions, so please feel free to ask.
