Zenith 3000-1 Trans-Oceanic Portable (1965)
(plastic transistor portable radio w/FM/SW)

Zenith 3000-1 Trans-Oceanic Portable (1965)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

A Zenith Trans-Oceanic in excellent condition, the next to the last Trans-Oceanic made by Zenith. The radio is a nine band radio: AM, seven short wave bands, and for the first time, an FM band. The set is playing very well on all bands. The log books are complete and are included. The antenna releases from the left side of the handle, and telescopes up about 3 feet. The dial is also working, and turns on from a switch on the front. There is no case damage, like cracks, chips or hairline cracks. The metal trim parts are in excellent condition, as well as the black fabric covering. The -01 extension on the model number means that the set can accept an external AC adapter power supply, which can be purchased separately from several sources. The radio is powered by eight "D" cell batteries, which will be included. I would not lift this radio by its handle, as the radio is very heavy. Lift it from the bottom. About 12-1/2"W x 10"H (to top of handle) x 5-1/2"D.
