Crosley E-15-SL "Buick Front" (1953)
(plastic tube table radio)

Crosley E-15-SL "Buick Front" (1953)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a beautiful 1953 Crosley radio completely restored into its original steel blue color (SL). Its Buick Front design is reflective of classic 1950's automotive styling, and is an icon of 1950's Retro radio design. The chassis has been completely gone over by a professional, and all weak tubes and capacitors that were out of tolerance were changed. The radio is playing clearly, picking up all my local AM stations with no problem at all, even distant stations late at night, and should play well for months to come. These sets often have ugly tarnished metal trim pieces. The chrome metal trim pieces on this set are in excellent condition. They look like they came off a radio still on the store shelf 75 years ago. This is an excellent example of a radio that is an icon of the early 1950's, in a beautiful steel gray color you don't see very often. About 12"W x 7"H x 7"D.
