THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Zenith produced a very attractive and popular radio in their 1941 6-S-527. The pinstriped bands of veneer, and the elaborate speaker grille are very eye-catching. The cabinet has been professionally refinished in multiple coats of lacquer, and the result is a really attractive radio. The brass escutcheon really sets this radio off. The knobs and pushbuttons are original, and it has a perfect Retro Tronics back on the case. There is a wonderful dial with countries all around the world shown, especially lit up at night with its dial lamp. This is an AM and SW radio. The chassis has been gone over completely, and everything needing replacing was done. The radio is working and playing well picking up all my local AM stations clearly. It picks up a few SW stations, which could be improved with an exterior antenna. The sound is quite good from the 4-inch perfect speaker. A great looking and performing radio, backed by the Zenith slogan, "The quality goes in before the name goes on." About 15"W x 8"H x 7"D.
