The ad for this radio says it all. “This is the famous Motorola portable with the handle that's a powerful rotating antenna. The cabinet is lightweight metal covered with scuff proof miracle fabric in Suntan. PLAcir chassis construction won’t burn out, wear out, or jar loose. It has a built-in automatic volume control with Volumatic to pick up and hold a strong, steady signal. It has a Large Golden Voice speaker." It has its original cord, and is playing great on AC, picking up stations clearly at night in all six states around me. In all my many years of collecting, this Motorola's "Suntan" fabric is in amazing condition, just like the day it was originally sold. After 68 years, almost all the fabric on these model sets has many rubbed places down to the metal case. This is a near perfect example of this model Motorola in Suntan fabric. About 10"W x 8-1/2"H (to top of handle) x 2-1/4"D. Schematic is included.
