Kennedy 281 Regenerative Reciever
(cloth/leather tube casket radio)

Kennedy 281 Regenerative Reciever

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Nice Kennedy regenerative receiver. These early Kennedy receivers are prized for their construction quality and performance! I tried it with a pair of Baldwin headphones and it really is a strong performer! This is one of the hottest early 20s regenerative radios I have tried, and a good regen is very sensitive! The condition is quite good as you can see. There are a few items of note. First, there are a couple of scratches on the front panel. There is also a thin crack at the back right corner of the lid, but it does not affect structure or strength of the lid. There is a bit of corrosion on the big tuning knobs. As with all early 20s radios you'll need an ARBE-III or similar power supply or several batteries to power it. You'll also need a good pair of vintage headphones as modern headphones and speakers have way too low impedance to work with it. It comes with an 01A display tube. I can provide a UX-200A for a little extra if you plan to use it. I will pack extremely well as I always do. A very nice and sought after receiver!
