Silvertone radios sold!

Silvertone 6356 (1939-40)
(tape machine)

Silvertone 6356 (1939-40)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Silvertone was Sears' in-store brand even though other manufacturers usually made them; companies such as Colonial, Wells Gardner, Skogmo Gamble, the always mysterious "Plant A" in Chicago. This was a battery operated set, used on a farm or rural setting. Beautiful wooden case, brand new dial lens cover, it featured five tubes and could play Standard Broadcast (AM), Short-Wave and a Police band. There's no reason it shouldn't play with a battery replacement. Great display piece as well.
