Westinghouse radios sold!

Westinghouse H-459T6
(plastic tube table radio)

Westinghouse H-459T6

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The exact age is unclear. The RadioMuseum suggests 1954. This is consistent with the mixed tube types (four are peanut tubes, two are octal). Features: concave-front cabinet with knobs on the two ends; 8" speaker; extra tube just for tone control; power transformer; input jack for record player or other source. Broadcast band only. There is part of a swivel mechanism underneath, suggesting that it may have been a hotel radio. The model number designates a "silver walnut" finish, but the actual finish is mahogany, which should have model number H-457T6. The original tuning knob has been replaced by a reproduction turned out of wood and painted to match. Plays well and sounds impressive. 14-1/2"W x 9-1/2"H x 6"D.
