Crosley Pup (1925)
(metal tube casket radio)

Crosley Pup (1925)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The Crosley Pup radio was introduced by Powel Crosley, Jr. in 1925. Competing with other products which were priced in excess of $100, the popular "Pup" model priced at $9.75 helped Crosley Radio Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio, become the largest radio manufacturer in the world. This Pup in in very nice condition, with original paint (no chips or scratches). There is a bump in the metal cabinet back left, as seen in picture. The set includes a cool gold UX-201-A tube which makes for a terrific presentation (I don't know if the tube is good). There is no label in the set. I haven't tried to attach to a power supply or speaker, so I don't know if it works. The knobs are all original and in great shape. 4-1/2"W x 4-1/2"H x 4"D.
