(wood phonograph)

Victor Victrola VV-50 Phonograph

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The VV50 was the first portable Victrola model to be produced. Production began in the summer of 1921 and was ceased in 1924. It used a simple single spring motor and wooden case made of oak or mahogany, with steel protectors on each corner. This one happens to be oak. Early production models had the cranks in front of the case; later production models had the crank moved to the right side of the instrument. As you can see this is a later production model; it was manufactured in 1924. Many consider the VV50 the best portable player. Has a more refined tone arm than was found on early production models. The reproducer is a Victrola No.2 as originally came with this phonograph. The turntable has its original felt cover. Phonograph has been serviced and will give years of service. You don't see these very often. Wonderful machine. Plays great and comes with extra needles. Weighs 26 pounds. 12"W x 17-1/2"D x 9"H.
