If you guys are like me, the wife gets tired of looking at the battleship gray and black metal communications sets. Well, here is your chance to impress her with a very nice, Mahogany grained Hallicrafters S-38D! This unit has had the following done: new power cord, cleaned controls, new dial light, new capacitors, including the original four-section electrolytic filter cap repacked with new filters filled with tinted paraffin wax for complete originality! This set really hauls in the stations and will need a long (or short) wire antenna for full reception on AM and Shortwave. Also included is a very nice operating manual reprint. Some scratches on brass bezel. Chassis polished to near factory appearance. Very nice bottom and back covers with labels.
