| Catalin radios have always had a special appeal for collectors because of their rich color and visual texture. This marbleized butterscotch Sentinel is an iconic example of Catalin radio design and is often referred to as the "Wavy Grille" Catalin radio. This one has a few "character marks" that make it more affordable than a perfect one -- you can see two small cracks on the front that have been expertly repaired, and a red spot on the left side. The entire cabinet has been polished to restore the original color and shine. Glass dial scale, knobs, and back are original. The radio has been electrically restored to work like new, with all new capacitors and a full alignment. |
