Philco 41-90 (1942)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Philco 41-90 (1942)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I've always thought Philco engineers designed this radio to be in a wood cabinet but the accountants insisted on using the less costly Bakelite alternative. This is a burly radio tipping the scales at 13 pounds, highly unusual for a Bakelite set. It has superior receiving capabilities thanks to Philco's renown engineering capabilities and the built-in antenna. The chassis has been expertly restored by a prior owner and it plays wonderfully. The original knobs and grille cloth are present but the cardboard back is missing. 14"W x 10-1/4"H x 7"D.
