Emerson BF207 (1939)
(plastic tube table radio)

Emerson BF207 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I've always loved ivory cabinets because there are just so many brown Bakelite models. This Emerson is quite unique because the cabinet is actually made of a "U"-shaped shell for the top and sides. The front and back are two separate sections, which slide into grooves in the shell. The four screw feet on the bottom of the metal chassis keeps the radio together -- ingenious! There are no chips or cracks in this beautiful cabinet. It's obviously been cared for and so original I never had the desire to have it restored in any way. Hence, this set is sold as-is. This is a great radio to build a collection because you can restore it later or make it a gratifying display piece as I did. It weighs 12 pounds; 13"W x 8-1/4"H x 6-3/4"D.
