RCA 9TX50 (1938)

RCA 9TX50 (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
The styling of this RCA was a leap into "Modernist" design and quite frankly well ahead of its time for the period. These don't come to market very often and though I have been collecting for decades, this is the first one I have ever seen. A very interesting smaller radio with the original cream and brown mottled knobs, original grille cloth and original back. All unusual and certainly very desirable. I have polished the original finish, which by the way is quite presentable, considering it is near 80 years old, and it is very pleasing to the eyes. The chassis has been completely restored and it plays very nicely on the AM broadcast band (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety). I have also added a mini-jack so you can play media from your MP3 player, or another audio input source, so you'll have the potential for hours upon hours of unlimited listening enjoyment. 11"W x 7-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D.
