Trav-Ler 522 (1937)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Trav-Ler 522 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Offered for the first time on The Radio Attic is this early Trav-Ler 522. You see many later Trav-Ler radios, mostly Bakelite and portables, but not their wooden cabinet sets. This one has a stunning oval colorfully painted dial with the airplane style pointer. Rounded sides, inlaid veneers on the front sides that seem to change color shades when gazed upon from different angles. The cabinet has been refinished using the very finest toning and finishing lacquers, producing a gorgeous luster, paying homage to the original detailed finish. The set retains its original knobs. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs, internally fused for your safety and has a new polarized power cord), and it plays very nicely on both the AM and shortwave bands. I have added an MP3 input so you may listen to your own supplied music if you wish. Fats Waller and Hoagy Carmichael sure sound nice on this radio. Add a little rarity to your collection with this beauty! 12"W x 7-3/4"H x 6"D.
