| Nice wood grain plastic set from about the end of the tube era. I cleaned inside and out, checked tubes (all Zenith tubes), replaced the selenium rectifier with silicon and tested for a few hours. All functions fine, clock, alarm, everything. A seven-tube and rectifier circuit, pulls in FM pretty well considering we live in a weak signal and high multipath area. A Dipole antenna on the back panel hookup does even better. The set is prettier than the pictures.
If you like the late tube radio look, it is very nice with no cracks, scrapes,or dings. Not too heavy for lower shipping costs. |
