Philips radios sold!

Philips BX-115 (1948)
(plastic tube table radio)

Philips BX-115 (1948)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Another import! This is a Philips (Holland) set, AM band, that is a great looking radio and well built. It uses Euro tubes: UCH42, UF41, UBD41, UY41, UL41; all are eight-pin glass tubes with a locating notch in the glass. I suspect weak tubes but have no adapter for my tube testers. I did replace the electrically leaky capacitors and all resistors are to spec. I suspect the poor performance is due to one of the Heptode tubes being very weak. The Lucite knobs, case, dial, and back are all in great condition. So if the early imports are your cup o' tea, here is a deal! Includes eight pages of repair data and schematics from Philips.
