Jewel radios sold!

Jewel 500 (1947)
(wood tube table radio)

Jewel 500 (1947)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a pretty slant front wooden AM radio that appears to be a mahogany veneer in very good condition. Lighted clear dial in dark red and gold accents. New capacitors, and tube checkout. Many new resistors, cleaned and bench tested. It has an unusual rectifier that is either a very early selenium or copper oxide type. It has been disconnected and replaced with a modern silicon diode for safety. A very simple circuit but performs OK on local stations and looks very nice.
