Zenith K731 AM/FM (1960s)
(wood tube table radio w/FM)

Zenith K731 AM/FM (1960s)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Zenith sold piles of these in various cabinets. This one is a light oak colonial style. The reason they sold so well? Two speakers, large oval and a piezo tweeter, nine active tubes and SS rectifier, good sound, good performance. An American answer to the good German radios in this era. This one has a clean chassis, no rodents, bugs,or rust. All tubes checked, three replaced, disconnected selenium rectifier and installed a silicon rectifier. Lubed tuning and Deoxit pots. Good local FM reception using the line cord coupling, better FM reception using a dipole antenna (included). Cabinet is original finish and very nice, slight wear on silver trim on dial and knobs. A really nice looking and sounding set. About 16"W x 10"H x 8"D.
