Grundig 2066 (1958)
(wood tube table radio w/FM/SW)

Grundig 2066 (1958)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

German sets were known for their great sound, and this 1958 Grundig has impressive bass along with crisp highs from the electrostatic tweeter. All electrolytic and wax paper capacitors were replaced, the selenium rectifier was replaced with a diode and all tubes were checked. The tuning eye is at roughly 90% brightness. Made for the American market, it has AM band, FM from 88 to 108 Mhz. and short wave from 5.5 to 16.5 Khz as well as a phonograph hookup. The cabinet was refinished with a semi-gloss lacquer. Internal antennas for all bands but adding an external antenna really makes this an impressive receiver. 21"W x 13"H x 8"D.
