Firestone S7403-4 (1940)
(wood tube table radio)

Firestone S7403-4 (1940)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Mighty, pretty, tiny! Measuring only 9"W x 6"H x 6"D, this gorgeous little beast features a cabinet by Ingraham and squeezes a full-featured five-tube chassis into it. It's been fully-serviced, re-capped, lubed, aligned, all tubes checked and replaced as needed. New power cord with vintage plug. It plays strong and with good volume across the AM dial. It sounds bigger than it is, possessing surprising resonance in its little wood cabinet. Knobs are original. The finish has various minor flaws but is intact. The cabinet has one noticeable flaw. When I got this, there was a rusty cabinet handle someone had attached to the top to make it more portable. I removed it and after trying to find anything that looked appropriate, I left it as-is. It's up to you if you want to try to fill the holes, attach a new handle (it's 2-1/4" between hole centers,) just display it higher up (as I did) or put something on top to hide the holes. This will be well-packed, as all of my sets are. Give this cutie a nice new home!
