Airline 62-715 (1939)
(wood tube table radio)

Airline 62-715 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Very neat and unusual tabletop/tombstone radio with unusual cylindrical dial and thumbwheel tuning. This set is an older restore as it has been in my personal collection for a few years. Preset push buttons work, but would have to be reset for your local stations. Strong green tuning eye as well. Strong player. Three things that may be considered as flaws: 1) small stress in clear dial cover, which clearly shows but does not detract; 2) approx. 3-1/2" stress in veneer on left front which I have tried to show in photo, (since it is original finish, I have elected to not fix accordingly. It actually follows the grain); 3) although I call it all original finish, the top may have been refinished at one time; cannot say for sure but wanted to point it out. Overall a great radio and seldom seen. It also has the original factory sticker on the inside of cabinet. 16"W x 14-1/2"H x 9"D; weighs about 18 pounds.
