Crosley 616 Tombstone (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Crosley 616 Tombstone (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Big, bold, and beautiful 1936 Crosley 616 Tombstone radio mfg. in Cincinnati. It is six-tube, three-band (BC + 2 SW) with a 5-1/2-inch beautiful original red, white, blue, and green colored dial with two worlds. Plays well on both BC and SW with short antenna wire (will be included). Recent complete restore with all new caps, and all tubes checked for recommended tolerances + alignment. original grille cloth, brass escutcheon with Crosley brass logo, wooden knobs, speaker with no repairs, clean chassis as well. Cannot find out much about in books, forums, and other radio sources. I think it is a first for The Attic... maybe not. It is in gorgeous shape. It is totally restored. There was a Crosley tabletop with this dial, not other tombstones that look like this. The backlit, multi-colored dial area really "pops." Really one of the most eye catching Crosley tombstones I have ever had in my collection; now time to let go. Thanks for looking. About 20"H x 14"W x 9-1/2"D.
