DeWald A501 Catalin "Harp" (1946)
(Catalin tube table radio)

DeWald A501 Catalin "Harp" (1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a great looking butterscotch Catalin AM radio from 1946. All original, including knobs, grille, factory back, clear dial glass, etc., and even most of the factory decal on bottom. Manufactured in 1946 by DeWald Radio Mfg Corp of New York & is a magnificent, exquisitely crafted Art Deco radio. The Catalin cabinet has a rich color, and glow combined with exceptionally striking yellow colorful "eye candy" for sure. The radio is in original condition, and is in great condition with no cracks, chips, major scratches, or repairs, except a 1/4" stress crack that runs from edge to one of the screw holes (very common on Catalin radios). Actually it is just on inside and never came thru to the bottom of cabinet. I should also mention toward the top, back edge there is a slight warpage, so I am pricing accordingly. It is not that detracting at all. This is still a wonderful radio and displays very well. Here is a chance to buy a very nice Catalin for a very nice reasonable price. Plays very well across the dial picking up all my local stations, but who plays their Catalins anyway, right? About 10"W x 7"H x 6"D.
