Zenith 5-S-319 (1939)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Zenith 5-S-319 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a classic Zenith with attractive "Racetrack" dial and is a highly sought-after and excellent performing radio. It is a five-tube Superheterodyne, with Broadcast and Short Wave bands (550-1700 KC, 5.5-18.5 MC) and plays great on both bands using a short wire antenna (supplied), picking up all my locals and beyond. The beautiful, lighted, gold dial and tuning is excellent and the push-button selectors all work properly. Appears to be original finish as the faux finished band is still intact on right hand side as you can see. The knobs, dial, push buttons all appear original and the new grille cloth is period correct and looks stunning. The filter caps, all paper caps, and grille cloth were replaced, all tubes checked, weak ones replaced, and alignment performed to peak performance. Chassis is super clean, no rust! Excellent condition for an 83 yr old radio showing very little wear... simply nice! This would be a wonderful addition to any collection. Shipped weight is 18 lbs. 13"W x 9"H x 8"D.
