Detrola 3271 (1941)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Detrola 3271 (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is an attractive and fairly uncommon Detrola. Detrola was founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1931. They sold under their own name but also manufactured radios for many companies including Western Auto (Truetone) and Sears (Silvertone). This is a beautiful and detailed table wooden radio with beautiful walnuts and mahogany woods + inlays crossing over into the wraparound ends and waterfalling above and below the grille area. The grille cloth is an era correct replacement and blends so well with the dial area colors. It seriously looks even better in person. The 3271 is a six-tube, two-band (SB,SW) set. The radio plays extremely well from a six-tube super-het chassis & it plays strong across the dial with plenty of volume picking up all my locals & beyond. Very clean rust-free chassis as well as a built-in loop antenna and a full factory back with perfect graphics. If you are looking for a cutie that doesn't require much shelf space and a little unusual, and quite eye catching, this is it. 15"W x 8"H x 6-1/2"D.
