General Electric 574 (1955)
(plastic tube clock radio)

General Electric 574 (1955)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a nice kitchen clock radio from GE. It has a maroon plastic case with a few scuffs and scratches here and there. There are no chips, cracks, or hairlines in it. It has an alarm along with the Telechron clock that also has luminous hands for night viewing. It is a five-tube, AM only radio. It has a built-in antenna, the original knobs, back and cord. It has an RCA phono jack in the back, as well as a 110V timed outlet that will let your alarm turn on an appliance, like a coffee pot in the morning. It has been gone through with weak tubes, filter, and audio caps replaced. It plays out with a nice mellow tube sound. There is provision for a external antenna to be attached in the back for even more performance. This would make a nice addition to your retro 50's kitchen or add to your mid-century modern collection. 12"W x 6"H x 6"D.
