THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is Coronado "Jewel" that was made for Gambles stores by Belmont. Belmont sold this radio under their own name and model number A-5D118. This radio has all the markings of both, Belmont on the cabinet and chassis, and Coronado "Jewel" on the center dial. This is a very small five-tube, AM only radio. It has an ivory painted Bakelite case that shows some paint chips here and there but no cracks. It has the original knobs, back and grille cloth. One knob shows some hairlines on its edge. I replaced weak tubes, filters, caps, cleaned & lubed controls and aligned it as well. The metal back acts like an antenna but has a clip to add a long wire to improve sound and reception. The tuner is very sensitive as it is a slug type as opposed to a condenser type. It has a nice mellow tube sound. This little "Jewel" would make a nice radio for your collection. 8"W x 5-1/2"H x 5"D.
