Climax "Diamond" (1937)
(wood tube table radio)

Climax "Diamond" (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is truly an extremely rare and highly desirable Art Deco radio, manufactured by the Climax Radio Corporation in 1937. Its condition is simply pristine and its design is spectacular. Needless to say, it would make a great addition to any collection. Climax, known for having some of the edgiest cabinets of any radio manufacturer, went all out that year with this extreme Art Deco "Diamond" teardrop model, as well as the "Emerald," and "Opal." Except for the set's replacement power cord and back panel, this radio is all original. The cabinet has been refinished, the chassis has been restored, all moving parts have been cleaned and lubed, the speaker has been re-coned, all caps and weak tubes have been replaced, and the dial marker have been hand polished and detailed. Having been completely restored inside and out, it is an excellent example of a rare radio classic that picks up my local stations across the entire AM dial loud and clear. Ready to display and play! Another great radio from my personal smoke-free collection. About 16"W x 8-1/4"H x 5-3/8"D.
