Hartco Radio (1932)
(wood tube table radio)

Hartco Radio (1932)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Apparently a re-branded Audiola (it shares the model 416 midget schematic), this extremely rare four-tube regenerative is truly a work of art, and may indeed be the finest example in existence. The cabinet is a leatherette-covered cardboard material with an elaborate pressed board front panel complete with red colored roses. The cabinet is nearly perfect: a 90 year old time capsule! It features a large Jensen Electro Dynamic speaker, and "frown" shaped dial with a lighted pointer that moves along as you tune. It's had all filter and paper caps replaced, new cloth line cord, original grille cloth. As with most four-tube regens it needs a long long wire antenna to receive. The volume control is part of the antenna circuit so the higher the volume the more sensitive it is at receiving. That said it plays strong on my local stations. Truly a survivor! 13"H x 10"W x 8-1/2"D.
