Crosley E-15WE (1953)
(plastic tube table radio)

Crosley E-15WE (1953)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Cars had lots of style and character back in the 1950's. Chrome ruled. They were rolling works of art. If there ever was a radio equivalent of a 50's automobile, this set would be it. It's been dubbed the "Buick front" by collectors. It features five tubes and plays strong across the AM (only) band with a powerful built in loop antenna. It also has a built in RCA jack in the back that was meant for a phonograph attachment, but you can plug any external audio source into it and enjoy the music of your choice. All electrolytic and paper caps have been replaced, tubes tested strong, controls were cleaned and lubricated. The case had some minor damage that was repaired and it was repainted in its original white color. The fresh paint looks nice with some minor blemishes. Chrome knobs are pit free and still shine. The anodized gold trim pieces do show some wear and scratching but still retain their shine and display quite acceptably. Brand new exact reproduction rubber feet were installed on the bottom. and it comes with the original bill of sale that was tucked inside all these years! A true time capsule. 13"W x 7-1/4"H x 7-1/4"D.
