General Television 5A5 (1946)
(plastic tube table radio)

General Television 5A5 (1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I offer a quantity discount on my radios, so check out my other listings and drop me a line if you're interested in more than one at a time. A Bluetooth/MP3 player 3.5mm cord has been installed for another listening option beyond the standard AM broadcasts. You can plug in to the headphone port of your device and enjoy the music of your choice through the radio. Exceptionally rare color scheme on this popular five-tube, Chicago-made set. The cabinet is natural finish, molded in black plastic, and the carrying handle, speaker grille, dial escutcheon, & knobs are molded in green plastic. Nothing was painted, save for one knob that was missing. I found the correct knob but could not locate one in green, so it was painted to match. Nice crack-free cabinet, clear original dial cover and vibrant dial scale really make this set pop. It's definitely an attention-getter! It has been recapped, aligned, tubes tested strong, controls cleaned & lubricated, so it plays loud and clear across the dial with its built-in loop antenna, receiving all my local stations. 8-3/4"W x 7"H x 6"D.
