A Bluetooth/MP3 player 3.5mm cord has been installed for another listening option beyond the standard AM broadcasts. You can plug into the headphone port of your device and enjoy the music of your choice through the radio. Use as a standard AM radio or plug the cord into your device. I offer a quantity discount on my radios, so check out my other listings and drop me a line if you're interested in more than one at a time. The Philco "hippo" models have long been a favorite among collectors, because of their impressive lighted dial using an early form of fiber optic light diffusion through clear plastic. A very cool effect in a darkened room! From the first year of production, this six-tube chassis has been gone through with all new filter and paper capacitors, resistors changed that were out of tolerance, strong tested set of tubes, new line cord, controls cleaned and lubricated. It plays strong across the AM band with its loop antenna, receiving all of my local stations. The cabinet is painted in a striking mint green. Even the original back cover is intact! 12"W x 7-1/2"H x 6-3/4"D.
