RCA 6T2 (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

RCA 6T2 (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Outstanding wood cabinet inlays and grain patterns on this six-tube, three-band RCA that really make it pop! Add to it a side-lit glass dial that looks amazing in a dark room (featuring illuminated band indicator triangles, five dial bulbs total), all surrounded by a brass escutcheon and you have one elegant looking 87-year-old tombstone! Unobtainable RCA wheat pattern grille cloth is all original! Cabinet was totally refinished with toners, correct decals installed, and topped with a light spray of clear enamel for durability and sheen. A new clear dial cover was installed, along with a new line cord. A set of strong tested metal tubes was installed (RCA pioneered metal tubes in 1936) and the chassis was totally recapped and out of tolerance resistors replaced. Tuner was cleaned and lubricated for smooth operation, and all controls and contacts were also cleaned. Requires a long-wire antenna for distant reception (or use the 3.5 mm cable to stream your own audio). This set held a prominent place in my own personal collection for a number of years. Time to let someone else enjoy it! 20"H x 13-3/4"W x 9-1/2"D.
