Zenith Royal 500H (1961)
(plastic transistor shirtpocket radio)

Zenith Royal 500H (1961)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Nice vintage very collectable Zenith Royal model 500H eight-transistor two-tone radio with chassis No. 8HT40Z2. I did restore this radio to working, and visual likeness. I cleaned up all the usual issues with this unit. Replaced all the electrolytic capacitors with brand new ones. Now the radio receives lots of AM broadcast radio stations, and from great distances. The audio plays clear, and goes to full volume. This radio does not have the usual volume control issues. I did clean the volume control. Tuned all the circuits. This model Zenith sports eight transistors. What a receiver! I did replace the the gold Zenith logo strip. Polished the shelf, painted the grille and bezel. Cleaned the entire radio inside, and out. The battery compartment is clean, and no rust or corrosion. The radio does require four "AA" batteries (not included). The only blemish of 59 years is a chip in the lower rear. If you have one of these radios, and would like it to work, and look like this one, then please contact me. I offer flat rate pricing. Shipping; Flat rate $15 domestic only. The radio will be packaged properly as usual.
