Emerson 888 Explorer (1960)
(plastic transistor shirtpocket radio)

Emerson 888 Explorer (1960)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a nice vintage collectable 1960's U.S.A. made Emerson 888 Explorer model AM eight-transistor radio. I did restore this one with all brand new electrolytic capacitors. This was all that was needed for this radio. This radio is in great shape, and like new condition. The audio is clear, and goes to full volume. What a receiver this radio is. It Receives many AM broadcast radio stations across the entire dial. There are no cracks, chips, or dents. There are a couple paint blemishes on the front dial cover. The grille is nice and flat. The on/off control is like new, and the gold insert is clear, and shiny. Look at all the lettering and the dial, nothing missing here. The radio has the original dual battery tube and battery connector, and they are in great shape, usually they are damaged or missing. This radio requires four "AA" batteries (not supplied). This radio has been well cared for. Shipping; Flat rate $16.00 (domestic only).
