Zenith Royal 7000 Trans-Oceanic (1971/72)
(plastic transistor portable radio w/FM/SW)

Zenith Royal 7000 Trans-Oceanic (1971/72)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Vintage collectable Zenith Model 7000, chassis 18ZT40Z3, 18-transistor AM/FM/SW/VHF weather band portable radio. I have had to do nothing to this radio. It is still all original, and works great on all bands. The FM is super on this radio; hi-fi quality sounds great. The audio on all bands sounds great. I tested the radio for hours. I was able to receive lots on all the SW bands, NOAA weather on VHF. I copied W1AW on 160, and 75 meters. I received CHU Canada, and WWV on different bands. There were lots of foreign broadcasts all over too. This is a big portable radio it requires nine "D" batteries (not included). There is also an AC power cord attached. The radio comes with the charts, log, and earphones. You don't find many of the 7000's still in this condition. All the switches work great, and the band switch detent is good. There are no blemishes to report. The telescoping antenna is straight. You don't want to let this radio get away. I am not an expert on TO's, but feel free to ask questions, or for more photos. Shipping will be determined at time of sale for exact amount via FEDEX ground. This will be packaged properly, and insured. About 13-1/4"W x 8-1/3"H x 5-1/2"D; weight 14 pounds.
