Admiral 990-6Y (1937)
(Bakelite tube tombstone radio)

Admiral 990-6Y (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This early Pre-War Admiral tombstone was designed with a three-way position, beautiful black Bakelite cabinet. It can be placed either on its left side, right side, or upright. The cabinet has a very nice chrome grille, two matching bullet knobs and a separate complete Bakelite back. The case and the back are in mint condition, with no cracks or stress lines, which is very rare in this particular 80+ year old radio. The chassis has been fully reviewed and all components such as capacitors, tubes and resistors have been replaced where bad or weak. The radio plays well with a short antenna wire. It has five tubes plus a power transformer. A very uncommon set! The set also retains its original speaker grille cloth. A great example of this rare model. 10"H x 7"W x 6"D. Radio will be expertly packed and promptly shipped. I accept mailed payments or PayPal Friends and Family. Please contact me with any questions.
