THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The 1938 Emerson BU-229 is a seven-tube, two-band (SB,SW) set with one "cone." The chassis has been completely reviewed by Don Cochrane. All capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents. The resistors and tubes were checked and replaced where necessary. New power cord. The eye tube is NOS, bright and active. The radio was aligned and plays well! The cabinet was professionally refinished and looks fantastic. The knobs are original, and the cone and eye tube bezels are reproductions by Mark Palmquist. Note the push button bezel and large round dial bezel are original and in great shape. This is a beautiful radio, very rare and collectable. Only the second one offered on The Attic (the first one sold in 2020 for $1,495.00). 17-1/2"W x 11"H x 8"D. Will be expertly packed and promptly shipped with full insurance.
